FIRESTOP
SAFETY AGAINST FIRE RISK
Our pass-through for floor and roof is the correct answer to the risk, unfortunately increasing, of roof fires.
FIRESTOP is ideal to protect walls made of combustible material close to chimneys. When poorly maintained chimneys are connected to fireplaces and wood burning stoves the gas temperature might reach 1.000°C and start the sootfire process. Besides, the fire might cross the flue and propagate to the next combustible material.
Poliedra designed and developed FIRESTOP to face such a problem.
FIRESTOP is a protection module that must be combined with Double Wall elements. It is available with external wall made of either stainless steel or natural copper.
It is equipped with an efficient fixing system that makes it suitable for any kind of roof.
The stainless steel fixing plate allows correct positioning and centering of the inner double wall liner, thus ensuring in any point the combustible material protection.
Thanks to its unique structure, FIRESTOP has excellent thermal insulation properties, it is in Class G00 of sootfire resistance and can be installed in direct contact with combustible materials (classification according to harmonized product standards UNI EN 1856-1 and UNI EN 1856-2, specific test at 1.000 °C temperature for 30 minutes).
FIRESTOP is an external-layer universal protection that is not connected to the chute.
